WHO can play?
We accept children of all ages! Children 13 and under need a paying adult to play with them (and may require help with some of the puzzles). Young adults 14 – 17 need to be accompanied by an adult, either playing and paying or supervising (and not paying) from the lobby.
WHAT is an Escape room?
An Escape Room is a live-action, group activity where players are immersed in an interactive narrative, ‘locked in’ to a room with keys, puzzles, clues and a count-down to reach the exit. Escape Rooms are meant to exercise your intellect, stretch your observational skills, improve team-work and hone your problem-solving proficiency in a lively and engaging environment. But mostly they’re meant to be fun!
Is it SCARY?
No. None of our current escapades are designed to scare and you may end play and exit at any time. If you have concerns about room content please call us with questions.
WHAT are the rules?
No electronics please (it ruins the mystery)
No food or drink, no smoking or vaping (too much cleanup)
Do not attempt to manipulate items with your mouth (yuck!)
Do not handle outlets, ceiling, facilitators or props marked ‘do not touch’ (safety first)
Do not force/disassemble or break props (no force required/no time to replace)
Do not move furniture or remove items (except costumes) from the wall (not necessary)
Do not remove props from room (no duplicates/no time to replace)
Arrive 15 minutes before appointment time (to avoid cutting into your own play time)
Play will not be stopped once it has begun (there may be reservations immediately after you)
Escapees may end play at any time and exit (in case of emergency/personal discomfort-the door is never really locked)
WHAT should I expect?
Arrive 15 minutes early to be oriented to the room and rules by your facilitator, to use the bathroom and to complete payment. You will be escorted into your experience as a group and a 60-minute count-down will begin. Door locking will be simulated for experience-sake but never truly locked you’re your safety and ours). Everything you need to make your Escape can be found within the room. Work together to find the clues and solve your way out as a team before time runs out.
WHAT do I need to know/bring?
No special knowledge or tools required, but don't forget your GLASSES if you have trouble with small print.
WHAT about people with disabilities?
As a newly-starting business, we are striving to accommodate Escapees of all abilities but unfortunately have some limitations based on the building space we rent. If you or someone in your party has special physical requirements please contact us so we can discuss and plan for Experience modifications that will allow you to participate to your full enjoyment.
WHAT if I need help?
Facilitators are available to provide help in the form of answering simple and direct questions about room content. Call upon them without penalty if you are feeling truly stuck.
WHAT if I need to stop play?
Notify your facilitator or simply exit the room through the entrance you came in. Escapees may end play at any time and exit (in case of emergency/personal discomfort-the door is never really locked)
WHAT is your refund/cancellation policy?
Unfortunately, no refunds will be given after play has begun. Changes or cancellations to reservations must be made greater than 24 hours from appointment time to avoid a $25 cancellation fee. Please contact us ASAP if you anticipate difficulties so that we can try to work with you on alternative scheduling or group options.
WHAT if players in my group don't show?

WHEN are you open?
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday by reservation only.
Friday through Sunday from 11:30am – 9pm by reservation or
walk-ins by availability from 4 to 9.
WHEN should I show up?
Please show up at least 15 minutes prior to your reservation time to be oriented to the room and rules by your facilitator, to use the bathroom and to complete payment. Unfortunately, late arrival may cut into your own play time, as other groups may have reservations immediately after you.
WHERE are you?
We are located at 1849 Willamette street, Eugene OR 97401
We are the lower level of the red building next door to Café Yumm.
WHERE do I park?
We have street and lot parking available. Please try to park on the South side of the building to leave the spaces for Café Yumm. Parking is free. We also have a small bike rack, are on the LTD line (route#24), and are pedestrian friendly.

WHY do an Escape Room?
Fun with friends? Fun with family? Corporate team-building events? Birthday parties? Double dates? Escape Rooms are meant to exercise your intellect, stretch your observational skills, improve team-work and hone your problem-solving proficiency in a lively and engaging environment. But mostly they’re meant to be fun!
HOW long does it take?
You will be given 60 minutes to make your escape once you enter the room.
HOW much does it cost?
$25 per Adult (18 and over), $20 per Teenager (14 to 17) and $15 per youth (8 to 13). If you have someone in your party that is 7 years old or younger they are free. Groupon Deals must be redeemed online at the same time you make your reservation and will not be accepted when you show up for your expereince.
HOW do I pay?
If booking online, there will be a $25 deposit made with your credit/debit card, and the remainder of the balance will be paid in-person when you arrive for your reservation. If you wish to pay the full balance prior to your reservation, contact us at the provided phone number or stop by during business hours. We accept cash, check, card and are able to split the bill between multiple participants.
How do I buy a Gift Card?
To purchase a Gift Card call us or stop by during walk in hours. We are able to take payments over the phone and mail the Gift Card to you or any one you chose.
HOW do I make/change/cancel a reservation?
Reservations can be made online, in person, or by phone (contact info below). Visit mentalmansion.com and click on the reservation button at the bottom of the Escapade page you wish to book. You will be sent a confirmation e-mail after booking with a link to change/cancel your booking embedded within that e-mail.
HOW many people can play?
Our current Escapade is designed for 2 – 6 people at a time. If your group does not reserve all available seats you may be paired with another group unless you opt to book the event privately (details on the reservation page).
HOW many different Escape Rooms do you have?
Currently we have 2 Escapades complete and available for reservation and are in the process of designing our third Escapade at this location.
